Review: Mamonde Moisture Ceramide Intense Cream

I have been using this Mamonde Moisture Ceramide Intense Cream for almost 3 months now and I think it's time to share how I feel about it!

I came to Korea in late February and by mid March, my tropical skin was dying. It was so dry it looked so dull. Even with make up on, I could tell everything was just not holding up.

I literally walked into Olive Young and googled reviews of every single star item I saw. While most of them really had great reviews, they were either not hydrating enough or were more suited for other skin types (acne prone etc). Then, at the bottom of a shelf, I found this Mamonde cream and the handful of reviews I found made me buy it. All the reviews I read talked about the other version of this cream that is lighter and since I felt like my skin was too thirsty, I went for the intense cream version and it's the best night cream ever!

At night, I use it after toner or essence and my CNP Propolis Energy Ampule (this combination really brought my skin back to life in the cold and dry winter weather). In the morning, I use it after toner/essence and before primer.

I tried layering the CosRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream (pictured above) over it but it started 'piling' when I put on my CC cream so I don't do that anymore. And since my Banila & Co CC cream has SPF in it, I was okay to skip the sunscreen.

However, the CosRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream is really amazing but just works better with other products. Just yesterday, I used it with an Innisfree serum and CC cream, everything went on perfect. It is super moisturizing and many reviews have said that it goes really well under make up.

Since the weather is warming up now, I am trying different variations of applying my skin care before make up to achieve the best results.

When I googled for reviews, I just wish more people would share such information than just taking images of the cream, the consistency and some before-and-afters which is in my opinion not accurate because it takes about 2-4 weeks for products to show results. And more often than not, most of us uses products from different brands, how do they react together? Will they pile? Do they offset each other?

For instance, I also learnt that if you use a vitamin C serum, you cannot use it with wrinkle/fine lines products and HAVE to wear sunscreen in the day. I mean I'm not a beauty guru, it wasn't common sense to me.

Hope this helps someone who was wondering about the Mamonde cream!

Update 28 October 2018:
Since we're fast hitting winter, I have started using this Mamonde cream again and it truly is a skin-saver! I just purchased a new bottle of the CNP Propolis Energy Ampule and am using it together again, hoping to bring some life back to my once-again dying skin. It's barely November and my skin is soooo dry so I am wondering if I should start to add another Mamonde Hibiscus range item to my skincare regime? Perhaps the softener or the emulsion.... Till then!
