a very short getaway with our friends to batam over the weekend where the main objective was for the guys to go golfing. luckily for me, massages cost as little as SGD11/hour. awesomeee.

we actually got this tour package from DEAL.com.sg for SGD78 per pax excl. taxes. this deal includes one night's stay at Harmoni One Hotel which is relatively new so it was not bad, an hour's massage at the hotel, half-day city tour, seafood lunch and roundtrip ferry tickets. i was once pretty skeptical about such deals online but this trip was actually okay.

recently i also used my groupon purchases at the jean yip loft for massage and waxing at the face bistro. the massage was okay, but i will NEVER go back to the face bistro for waxing. the therapist wasn't very skillful and their practices weren't the most hygienic. i would strongly recommend strip for waxing, per the review i did for them earlier this year. you can read it here.
