i know i'll be saying the same things for a few more national days to come but...
the only time i remember really celebrating national day (a la 4th july style where people do pot luck, bbqs and get-togethers) was when i wasn't actually in singapore!
during my first semester in brisbane, we got together at pp, nick and ting's for a mini pot luck and streamed the national day parade live. how patriotic right?
maybe because brissie is kinda boring because during my last semester, we also celebrated mid-autumn festival by eating mooncakes and carrying lanterns that eve sent over at guyatt park. and i haven't touched any lanterns since.
happy 9th august!
