it was one of those days when i just felt like wearing a plain white tee and comfortable pair of pants. actually i feel like this on a lot of days, i'm a really simple dress code kinda person. they say jeggings aren't pants but these loveandbravery jeggings are thick enough to be worn as pants and yet comfortable like wearing leggings. they come in a few amazing colors like cobalt, oxblood and nude! check it out here. and my readers from different parts of the world, you may be pleased to know they offer international shipping too!
happy hump day!

it's not often that i attempt bodycon dresses but this print is too irresistible and fun to pass. you gotta admit printed bodycon is definitely more flattering that a solid color one when one is not too genetically blessed (like me). ;)
oh, remember to complete the outfit with nude heels to elongate those legs!

i know it took me forever to post these pictures from my trip to south korea in feb/mar but they finally made it! looking at all these pictures reminded me of the good times and good food in korea. i want to eat them all again so badly. nonetheless if you're ever visiting south korea, these are some of the food you'll be expecting and don't be afraid to try, they're super delicious. Oh by the way, see the photo above, that shell thing? it's abalone. and we didn't know it was LIVE until we wanted to pick it up and throw into the steamboat, it started cringing, closing itself up left to right.... how delightful.
this ginseng chicken soup below, best one i've ever tried. if you ask me now i'd forgotten where it is but it's near the palace and it's very famous.
abalone porridge. after eating i realised it was made from abalone inards.
part ii coming up soon!
have a great weekend!
i love how emanuelle alt seems to be a very practical person when it comes to fashion choices, considering she's the editor in chief of vogue paris, the mother of all vogues. she has a couple of wardrobe staples, more classic than fancy, and then she pairs them with one another, creating several looks with the same few pieces, or pieces of the same kind.
what do you think of ms alt's style?

DID YOU KNOW...
karl lagerfeld chose singapore (where i'm from!) to launch chanel cruise 2013/2014 collection?
although it doesn't mean anything to most singaporeans (like when i told the bf, he was like who's karl? louis vuittion? *slaps forehead*), i felt so proud and happy that he chose singapore. this means putting tiny sunny singapore on the fashion map!
when people think fashion and cities, they think paris, london, new york, where the major fashion weeks are. and if in asia, you think of tokyo. i must admit, singapore is more known for humid warm weather, flip-flops and shorts (a.k.a. terrible fashion) but it's changing. the local fashion scene is changing. and i truly hope having more of such opportunities would put us even more prominent on map. even if not for fashion, i do hope more people know where singapore is.
a few years ago when i was studying abroad, although just 8-9 hours' plane ride away, quite a number of locals didn't know where singapore is.
most would even say we're a part of china. we are ABSOLUTELY not. so if that's what you thought, i hope you learnt something new today! :)

got a new hair cut! depends on how you feel about it, i can look like i'm 18 (again) or i'm 28. and.. yes i'm okay with either!
the weather's crazy hot these couple of days so my almost impulsive decision for the haircut was pretty timely!
a new haircut is my favourite form of change because no matter how bad the haircut is, hair will always grow back. :)

g2000 top / zara pants / missing avenue shoes
i just want to share how i think g2000 has rebranded itself so well, their advertising campaigns are so much more enticing these days and the clothing style has changed so much compared to 5 to 7 years ago. back then, it was the go-to place for anything corporate. i bought my first blazer there when i had to do a school presentation. i bought my first shirts when i went for interviews. and that's it. that's where you'd go for shirts, pants, blazers and conventional conservative work clothes.
these days, they're selling simple tees but with slightly more sophistication, adding a sheer thick chiffon-like material panel to make it look dressier than a t-shirt (like the one i'm wearing but you probably can't tell from these pictures). they have skinny pants for work, cigarette pants with subtle studded designs and so much more.
the next time you walk past g2000, go in and have a look! no doubt they still carry more corporate styles, it sure feels more fun and interesting to dress for (serious) work now.
