i am back from seoul! it was such an awesome holiday! if you're going there for the first time and want to visit jeju island, i strongly recommend you do what we did. originally we wanted to go free n' easy, plan our own itinerary but it's not going to be easy because of mainly language, getting around and costs.

we booked a guided group tour package through a local tour agency and extended 5 days to explore on our own.

through the tour, we got to travel to jeju island and the various tourist attractions on that island, quite a bit of attractions in seoul including tickets to those attractions (and everland theme park too!). getting around was easy with the tour, everything was on schedule hence we were able to cover a lot of places. imagine booking your own local tour that only goes to a few places a day.. all the time wasted.. can't imagine.

cost wise, it was worth it because air fare to and from seoul and jeju were included, 80% of the meals (on days that meals were not provided, we were given meal vouchers or allowances to eat whatever we wanted) were provided and not to mention pretty decent accomodation (we stayed at jeju grand in jeju, and jw marriott in seoul and a few more..).

when the tour ended, we extended and travelled on our own, took public transport (it's cheaper for 4 people to take the taxi than train), went to places that our friends recommended and most importantly, travelled leisurely at our own time. after this trip, i am pretty sure we'll be able to do it on our own the next time. :)

i'll blog more pictures soon! do check back! xoxo
